Think of babies as future voters. Babies are political power.
Sept. 11, 2001, was not “the day everything changed,” but the day that revealed how much had already changed.
—Mark Steyn in The Future Belongs To Islam
Most people are puzzled as to why Muslims have suddenly become such a powerful group in world politics when only a few years ago they were insignificant. The answer is found in their birth rate which dwarfs that of all other groups. In the year 1900, Muslims made up only 12.4% of the world population, compared to 26.9% for Christians (using the word “Christian” very loosely to mean everyone who claims to be a Christian); but, if present birth rates continue, Muslims will make up 30% of the world population by the year 2025, and Christians of all kinds will only be 25%. Islam will then be the world’s largest, most influential religion.[1] Today, the Muslim birth rate in Europe is three times higher than the non-Muslim one. If current trends continue, the Muslim population of Europe will nearly double by 2015, while the non-Musim population will shrink by 3.5 percent.[5] Already Muslims outnumber Catholics. In an interview with the paper Monsignor Vittorio Formenti, compilier of the Annuario Pontificio, the Vatican yearbook, said “For the first time in history, we are no longer at the top: Muslims have overtaken us.” He said that figures for 2006 showed that Catholics accounted for 17.4 per cent of the world population while Muslims accounted for 19.2 per cent. Asked for an explanation Monsignor Formenti observed that “While Muslim families, as is well known, continue to make a lot of children, Christian ones on the contrary tend to have fewer and fewer.”[3]
So, why are Muslims having so many more babies than Christians? It is because Christians have been influenced by the dominate Humanist (atheist) religion to be materialistic. Birth control is materialism carried to the extreme. If a married couple decides that a nice car or house or other material things are more to be desired than children, that couple’s value system has hit rock bottom, and they are materialists. There is something deeply wrong with a person that values material possessions more than a baby made in God’s image. Birth control is one of America’s greatest sins, and will surely destroy America, except she repent. Will we, or will we not, obey God’s command:
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. (Gen. 1:27–28)
One of my biggest regrets is that I did not take a stronger stand against birth control many years ago. Not that I didn’t take a stand—I did—, but not nearly as strong a stand as was needed. I knew that birth control violates the plain commands of God, but I did not realize the vital significance having children—or not having children—has on a nation. This is the significance: children are political and religious power. Children become voting adults, and generally vote according to the religious beliefs they learned from their parents. “As arrows in the hand of a mighty man;” the Bible tells us, “so are children of the youth” (Ps. 127:4). This is true for Muslims just as much as for Christians. Children are ammunition, and if you don’t have enough ammunition you lose wars. And, on the other hand, if you have lots of ammunition you win wars.
Fifty years or so ago Muslim leaders realized that the West’s materialism was resulting in less soldiers to oppose Islam’s goal of world conquest, and that by encouraging Muslims to have as many babies as possible, that conquest could be speeded up even more. “We’re the ones who will change you,” the Norwegian imam Mullah Krekar told the Oslo newspaper Dagbladet in 2006. “Just look at the development within Europe, where the number of Muslims is expanding like mosquitoes. Every Western woman in the EU is producing an average of 1.4 children. Every Muslim woman in the same countries is producing 3.5 children.” As he summed it up: “Our way of thinking will prove more powerful than yours.”[4]
When the people of a certain religion—for instance, Baptists—decide to prevent the birth of children, events will eventually turn against them in a big way. At first they may think they have made the right decision. Instead of spending their money raising children, they can spend it on themselves to live higher on the hog, buy better clothes, a nicer car, and a more comfortable house. They may even laugh and poke fun at the “poor, ignorant” people who decide instead that children are the true riches, and so happily divide their meager wealth with as many children as God chooses to give them. But time is against materialists. The wheel of God’s justice turns slowly, but grinds to powder—sin has an awful price. By not having children, the materialists have sowed the seeds for their own defeat and enslavement. Initially the undesirable changes are not evident, but they grow exponentially with time. And materialism has a way of blinding people to reality. They become so engrossed with keeping up with the Jones that they don’t notice what is happening until it is too late. Then, suddenly, one day they start losing elections, and overnight the “poor, ignorant” people of that other religion become the people of influence, and power, and wealth—because they are more, and therefore mightier. People who are never born can’t vote, nor can the children they would have had, nor can their grandchildren those children would have had. Birth control creates a situation that cannot be easily turned around, and may not be able to be turned around at all. If all Baptists presently practicing birth control repent today, the results on elections will not be seen until babies are born and reach voting age—that will be at least 19 years! Meanwhile the Muslim children that have been born are maturing into voters. By practicing birth control, Christians have set themselves up for severe persecution.
How fast can this happen? Consider that a population of 200 million extremely wealthy and influential people will be reduced to zero in both population and influence in only one generation if they all decide to have no children at all. In that case, there will never be a remedy. And when the tide begins to turn against materialists, they will not be able to stop it, even if they repent and start having children. There will not be a path back to wealth and power unless that other religion also begins to practice birth control—which in the case of Muslims is not likely any time soon. Even if Muslims did start practicing birth control, the path back to influence, wealth, and power for Christians would take many generations. Already, birth control has caused horrendous damage to Christianity. Christians must immediately repent of the materialism that motivated them to use birth control lest the situation degenerate to the point of no return. Sadly, when a people sink deep into materialism they don’t care what happens to their few…birth control failures. Instead, they wish that those few children had not been born, so that they could spend all of their wealth on themselves. Repentance will not come easily to the severely materialistic, especially since husband and wife must both repent for children to be born.
Perhaps the most bogus argument for birth control is that it makes money available for Christian missionary work. That is a wicked idea if ever there was one. Unless children are born, they cannot be born again, they cannot attend Sunday School, they cannot become missionaries to evangelize this sin-sick world, and they cannot grow into tithing, missions-giving adults. Children are the future, and without them a church has no future.
Thinking people acknowledge that the facts presented in this article are true. PRI [Population Research Institute] spokesman Joseph D’Agostino says that for the most part, only Muslims have high birth rates. “It’s because Christians and Jews are refusing to have children, refusing to get married, [and] having such low birth rates that the Muslims are going to inherit the Earth,” he explains. “. . . If you don’t want the world to turn into Saudi Arabia, maybe people other than Muslims need to start having some kids at the rate the Muslims are having kids.”[2]
Mark Steyn, who has written a book on the subject, is even more blunt:
For states in demographic decline with ever more lavish social programs, the question is a simple one: can they get real? Can they grow up before they grow old? If not, then they’ll end their days in societies dominated by people with a very different world view.[4]
Pastors and other Christian leaders, you are the key. Can you get real now while there is still some hope? Perhaps you, like me, did not understand the consequences of birth control. But now we do. It is now our responsibility to educate the people we influence. Believe me, I understand the cost of teaching against birth control—humanists will mock and belittle you. Some of them will try to destroy you. And materialists (even those claiming to be Christians) really get upset—even hateful and vicious—when you challenge them to have children. They perceive this as you asking them to lower their standard of living. One pastor told me rather hotly that if his wife got pregnant, he would be extremely angry, because it would ruin all the plans he had for his life! How extremely sad that he thinks that God giving him a child would ruin his life! My stand against birth control cost me this man’s friendship. Of course, there is always a cost for standing against sin. But the cost of not standing against this particular sin will be total defeat and enslavement. I don’t want your children and grandchildren and mine to grow up under the dominion of Islam. Do you?
Do you consider your mate worth reproducing? or would you rather have some more material things? If you value things more than your mate, then your mate will very likely cease to value you, too. Materialism causes marriages to fall apart, as is seen happening throughout America today.
Is the Bible true? Is the Bible true when it says that “children are the heritage of the LORD, and the fruit of the womb is his reward”? Or is the Bible a lie and God a liar? Do we want God’s reward? Or do we consider His reward to actually be a very undesirable curse? Our value system will determine our answer, and our answer will reveal our value system, which will be seen in our actions, which will determine our future.
