Obama’s birth certificate

Another soldier, Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin of Greeley, Colorado, has refused to deploy to Afghanistan for a second term because he believes Obama was not born in the United States, and is therefore not qualified to be president or commander in chief. He wants Obama to show the original long-form birth certificate, as the copy Obama has been showing on the Internet is not the original.

The big question is, if this birth certificate actually exists, then why is Obama not producing it? What is he hiding?

We are reading the following quote over and over in various articles:

Hawaii Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino issued statements last year and in October 2008 saying that she’s seen vital records that prove Obama is a natural-born U.S. citizen. But the state said last month it was still getting between 10 and 20 e-mails seeking verification of Obama’s birth each week, most from outside Hawaii.

A few of the requesters continue to pepper the state Health Department with the same letters seeking the same information, even after they’re told state law bars release of a certified birth certificate to anyone who does not have a tangible interest. Responding wastes time and money, officials have said.

Both Fukino and the state registrar of vital statistics have verified that the Health Department holds Obama’s original birth certificate. (
Army doc, birther refuses to go to Afghanistan

Ok, Hawaii “state law bars release of a certified birth certificate to anyone who does not have a tangible interest.” That means that anyone with a “tangible interest” is allowed to see it. Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin is being ordered to put his life at risk by a man that seems to have no love for the USA, and is disarming us by destroying our nuclear weapons. If that is not a tangible interest I would like to know what is.

I can only think of one reason that Obama is not showing his long-form birth certificate, and that is because it was issued in and by another country. All the rest of us USA citizens also have a “tangible interest” in seeing that certificate, and we demand to see it now.

Sorry Dr. Fukino, but why should we believe you when the stakes are so high and you offer no proof?

I do not get it. I believe Obama is born in the US simply because I find no reason to believe that he is not. And I don’t see why he has to prove it whenever some random person suspect him of virtually anything. So if next time some one accuse him of being homosexual or transgendered or extra-terrestrial does he have to prove he is not?

Terry Lakin will find out that beliefs and facts are two very different things and in the end his courts-martial will be his own public humiliation for believing something he can not prove. I would love to be there during the military trial and find out what facts he has, internet gossip? Let’s face it no one will take the Birthers seriously until they win a case, but until then, they will continue to appear dumb, crazy or racist, or maybe all three. The old GOP Confederacy, that is what these liars want, good luck with that.
